Composites ate S.L. announces its participation in a \u20ac2.8 million Eurostar initiative to develop sustainable composites to drive the future of mobility.<\/h5>\n

[\/vc_column_text][vc_separator type=”transparent”][vc_column_text css=””]Composites ate S.L. is pleased to announce its participation in a \u20ac2.8 million Eurostar program leading a consortium of Spanish, Italian and Swiss companies to accelerate the transition to green mobility. The consortium has received interest from several OEMs in the automotive, aeronautics, rail and maritime sectors.[\/vc_column_text][vc_separator type=”transparent”][vc_column_text css=””]The project set up by the consortium is called NERTHUS and is dedicated to achieving two main objectives: the development and industrialization of a new generation of environmentally friendly composites, and the
\nsubsequent demonstration of their feasibility through specific case studies defined by the participating OEMs. The development and formulation of new materials includes the improvement of the properties of natural fibers and the development of bio-based resins, self-healing resins and fire-resistant resins. By reaching out to specific markets, the Nerthus project aims to showcase the feasibility and inherent benefits of these advanced materials, providing concrete evidence of their transformative
\npotential in the field of constantly evolving mobility. This initiative stems from a deep strategic reflection aimed at ensuring company growth by entering the direct-to-consumer (B2C) sales channel. The project kicks off with the launch of innovative, customizable carbon fiber football shin guards, manufactured locally in Catalonia using high-efficiency technology that guarantees a highly competitive price. The roadmap for the DUR brand includes future expansions into sustainable materials and disciplines such as padel, cycling, and motorcycling, alongside collaborations with elite athletes.
