Composites ate S.L. is pleased to announce its participation in a €2.8 million Eurostar program leading a consortium of Spanish, Italian and Swiss companies to accelerate the transition to green mobility. The consortium has received interest from several OEMs in the automotive, aeronautics, rail and maritime sectors.
The project set up by the consortium is called NERTHUS and is dedicated to achieving two main objectives: the development and industrialization of a new generation of environmentally friendly composites, and the
subsequent demonstration of their feasibility through specific case studies defined by the participating OEMs. The development and formulation of new materials includes the improvement of the properties of natural fibers and the development of bio-based resins, self-healing resins and fire-resistant resins. By reaching out to specific markets, the Nerthus project aims to showcase the feasibility and inherent benefits of these advanced materials, providing concrete evidence of their transformative
potential in the field of constantly evolving mobility. The contents of the project are strategically aligned with the NextGen objectives of the European Commission, aiming to position Europe as a world reference in sustainable technologies.
